During practicing, teaching and performing I run regularly into interesting guitaristic, musical and conceptual ideas. Some of them make sense, some don´t, some ideas become a part of my active vocabulary of improvisation, some disappear forever. I’m interested in all kinds of improvisation, chord related soloing, chord-melody playing, polyphony, symmetry, motivic work, atonal concepts, sounds and noise.

I would like to present these ideas and share them, maybe they can be of interest to one or the other.

In addition, I am presenting some aspects that appear regularly in my classes with aspiring jazz guitarists and which I try to develop and refine over the years.

The guitar and improvisation is an endless and fascinating journey and the more you know the more you realize how much you don´t know.

I sincerely hope that there are people out there appreciating these ideas and get inspired in some way. Do not hesitate to comment my posts or to present your own ideas.
